Why Visit Change Is Good?

Change Is Good is more than a thrift store—it’s a social enterprise with a mission.

Here, our clients apply their vocational skills, curating a trendy vintage shop in the vibrant Inglewood community.

As a secondhand store built on donations, we curate a selection of pre-loved clothing and housewares, while also showcasing products from local independent businesses. 100% of profits are reinvested into the Calgary Dream Centre’s vital addiction recovery programs.

By donating or shopping, you’re directly supporting the Calgary Dream Centre’s programs, helping individuals overcome homelessness and addiction. Every purchase you make directly supports life-changing efforts in our community.

Our story thus far.

Change Is Good began online in 2020 as a pilot project by Heather Jansen, an employee of The Calgary Dream Centre. The concept was to divert excess clothing donations to an online platform in order to raise funds and to expand the demographic of The Calgary Dream Centre’s donor base. After running the project for a few months, Change Is Good was officially taken on as a social enterprise of The Calgary Dream Centre!
