Celebrating Fathers’ on the road to recovery
Dear Friend,
Father’s Day is just two days away and we are getting ready to honour and celebrate our residents who are fathers. We serve over 250 men at one time at the Calgary Dream Centre(CDC), and many of those individuals are fathers.
The road to recovery is not an easy one, and we want to take a moment to honour the fathers in recovery who continue to look ahead.
Through our years here at the Calgary Dream Centre, we have witnessed many roads to recovery. We have seen fathers regain custody of their children and broken relationships restored. We have witnessed many fathers overcome the cycle of addiction and step into walking out lives filled with freedom, joy, and purpose.
These father’s are entering into a lifestyle of recovery not just for their own sake, but so they can become the best dad they can be for their children and for that we honour you this Father’s Day.
I invite you to pray for and encourage our Dream Centre fathers, as they step into a new season of living out fatherhood in recovery.

CDC WOODSHOP
ABOUT THE CDC WOODSHOP
The Woodshop offers recreational programming to those enrolled in our Addiction Recovery Program and operates as a Social Enterprise which brings revenue to support the various Dream Centre programs. Every week, participants from our recovery program visit our woodshop. Here, they learn basic woodworking skills and even have the opportunity to build their own project!
When our Woodshop isn’t busy helping our residents learn, they spend their time creating beautiful products that you can purchase! With 100% of the proceeds going back to the Dream Centre, you can furnish your home and support those overcoming addiction and homelessness.
SUMMER COLLECTION
The Woodshop has been busy creating beautifully hand crafted items to make its way into your home. They have been working on planters. standing desks, dining tables, and other custom made furniture items like nightstands, coffee tables, beds and MORE!
Our newest addition to the summer collection are our custom made cutting/ charcuterie boards. These boards are the perfect personalized gift for occasions like father’s day, weddings, house warmings, or even birthdays. This social enterprise is a curated second-hand store with 100% of the profits supporting the men and women at the Calgary Dream Centre who are changing their lives for good!
Not only do we have beautiful second-hand clothing for sale, but we have partnered with local vendors to share and support some of our favorite independent brands. Keep your eyes peeled for their beautiful products all around our store.
We are open Tuesday – Sunday from 11 AM – 5 PM, and our address is 1317 9th Ave SE, Calgary AB, T2G 0T2.
